Second Sports Magazine Example

 The next magazine example I used was "Black Belt". I did this one because I am a martial artist and find it interesting. It also proclaims itself as the "world's leading magazine of martial arts" so it caught my attention.

Cover Page

This magazine has a color scheme of white and yellow with a black background. The model for this cover is the dragon himself, Bruce Lee. He is even in front of the title. None of the words block his image. The magazine appears to hit many different aspects, such as news, tips and tricks, and a bit of a biography as well. 

Table of Contents

This table of contents also emphasize the page numbers with a different color. The picture above shows a man practicing an art that not a lot of people know about, Silat. The featured topics go above while the less advertised topics go an the bottom in a single box. Some of the topics have a yellow highlighted headline saying "New Column". 

Double Page Spread

This double page spread shows some text, but mainly pictures. These two combined make a great double page spread. The two pictures contrast each other to show an aggressive side and a sensitive side. This can be good to apply into my magazine.
